Description

These are Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and the United Kingdom. STEP’s overall objective is to alleviate energy poverty by encouraging behavioural change and low-cost energy efficiency solutions among consumers in or at risk of energy poverty through trusted, tailored advice. These training modules cover: Basic knowledge about the energy sector; Basic knowledge about the social system and poverty; How to identify consumers in energy poverty; How to refer people to STEP energy advisors; National and local mechanisms and support possibilities for consumers; How energy contracts affect consumers in energy poverty (tariffs, supplier switch, transparent bills) – consumer rights
