Description
SAFEorFAKE provides teachers with relevant case studies highlighting the importance of intellectual property and guide students in recognising the health, societal and environmental risks associated with counterfeit products.
The project aims to raise awareness in:
- Portugal among 8-12 children and teachers/future teachers at primary schools.
- Spain among 12-18 secondary and vocational students and develop new educational resources based on their participation in in‑person workshops and questionnaires.
Attractive products for young people such as cosmetics, electronic devices or toys and games have been used as a learning vehicle through case studies. These resources include infographics, educational videos, high-impact presentations and reference documents.
The project offers several types of content for classroom use, including a booklet or brochure, a game or quiz, materials for students and teachers, videos, and a website.
This initiative is carried out by by AIJU - Instituto Tecnológico del Producto Infantil y Ocio (Spain) and APSI - Associação para a Promoção da Segurança Infantil (Portugal), with support from the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
