Verbraucherchecker is a German school network that brings consumer education into classrooms, helping young people became more conscious consumers.

The initiative is aimed at teachers, school staff and educators, and provides the following materials to bring consumer education into the classroom:
- quality-tested teaching materials covering topics from financial literacy to sustainable consumption
- free training courses for teachers
- networking opportunities with other schools across the country

Schools that successfully embed consumer education in their teaching, can apply for the Consumer School award, which recognises three levels of engagement:
- Bronze Consumer School, for schools taking the first steps in consumer education
- Silver Consumer School, for schools actively engaging others through their commitment
- Gold Consumer School, for schools where consumer education is fully and structurally embedded in everyday life

This project is developed by the Federation of German Consumer Organisations ( Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband-vzbv ) a BEUC member.
