Don't paint yourselves green (Não se pintem de verde) is a consumer awareness campaign that helps people recognise greenwashing and make more informed, truly sustainable choices in their everyday purchases.

The campaign is open to all consumers and tackles the increasing use of vague or unsubstantiated environmental claims, such as "ecological", "biodegradable" or "environmentally friendly", which can mislead shoppers and reward companies that present themselves as sustainable without proof.

Through the initiative, consumers can:
- understand what greenwashing is and how it works
- learn to identify misleading environmental claims on products and packaging
- access practical guidance to make more informed and genuinely sustainable choices
- discover their rights when companies use environmental claims for marketing purposes

The campaign also addresses companies directly, with the message "Don't paint yourselves green, tell it as it is", calling for greater transparency and accountability in environmental communication.
